Mighty North Korea have qualified for their first World Cup finals since 1966 after holding powerhouse Saudi Arabia to a goalless draw in Riyadh.
Saudi Arabia 0-0 North Korea
Here’s what happened last time they made it… In 1966, Group 4 provided the biggest upset when North Korea beat Italy 1-0, and finished above them, thus earning qualification to the next round along with the USSR. Italy were pummelled with tomatoes when they got off the plane having returned to Italy earlier than planned.

It then appeared as though North Korea might nobble Portugal in the quarter final when after 22 minutes they were in the lead 3-0. It fell to one of the greatest stars of the tournament, Eusébio, to change all that. He scored four goals in the match and, with José Augusto adding a fifth in the 78th minute, one of the most incredible comebacks in football history was complete.
