Champions League qualifier: Anderlecht 5 – 0 Sivasspor

An absolute shocker for the Turkish upstarts from Sivas, who, in the Turkish press at least, were really confident of their chances of doing over the Belgians. Me thinks they’ve left themselves a little too much to do in the second leg. Young Tom De Sutter headed the hosts in front from a corner, with Mbark Boussoufa firing home a left-footed second after 22 minutes. With Sivas all over the place, Thomas Chatelle claimed number three before the break.

More hopeless defending in the second half allowed the man De Sutter to notch up goal number four, with Nicolas Frutos lobbing the keeper to practically confirm Anderlecht’s passage in the Champions League.
