A very proud Harry Redknapp claimed this trophy for the second season in succession after a dominant display from Spurs. Luka Modric’s pass was finished by big Robbie Keane for the opener after quarter of an hour, with Keane firing home a penalty to double the lead midway through the second half. Young Aaron Lennon finished off the match late on, following a fine cross from Naughton.
West Ham 2 – 0 Beijing Guoan
Late goals from Danny Gabbidon and young lad Zavon Hines spared West Ham’s blushes in Beijing, eventually making the Chinese team the whipping boys.
