AKA The first Liverpool match I ever went to. Actually, not being a Liverpool fan, I went with a group of mates and had to bunk off school in the afternoon to get there on time. This really was the tail end of the great Liverpool dynasty, not that we knew it at the time. Liverpool were Cup holders and would go on to win the league that year, everything still looked rosy with this goal fest. Having said that, it did only come in a replay after a hotly contested first match at the Vetch.
I confess I have no recollection of the fan running on the pitch and bagging a goal.
